Alumni network and mentoring
Your learning journey doesn’t end when you complete the Human–Wildlife Conflict and Coexistence Training. Our Alumni Network brings together participants from across our training programmes to stay connected, continue learning, exchange experiences, and remain engaged with the wider IUCN SSC Human–Wildlife Conflict & Coexistence Specialist Group community.
Through the network, alumni can continue to access training resources and materials, connect with fellow practitioners working on human–wildlife conflict and coexistence around the world, and hear about opportunities to further develop their knowledge and practice.
As a member of the Alumni Network, you will have access to:

Up-to-date training materials and resources to support the application of learning beyond the course.
A global community of HWC practitioners to stay connected, exchange experiences, ask questions, and learn from approaches being applied in different contexts.
Specialist Group updates and resources, helping alumni remain connected with the work, knowledge products, and activities of the IUCN SSC Human–Wildlife Conflict & Coexistence Specialist Group.
Alumni webinars and learning opportunities, including sessions with practitioners and experts on emerging topics, tools, case studies, and challenges in human–wildlife conflict and coexistence.

Early information about future training and events, including relevant workshops, conferences, webinars, and other learning opportunities.
Opportunities for continued professional development, including the possibility for experienced alumni to become involved in future training activities and, where appropriate, develop towards roles as facilitators or trainers.
Mentoring opportunities, with tailored mentoring available to individuals or teams seeking additional support in applying the training to their work. Some mentoring may be offered on a paid basis, while we will also seek opportunities to provide sponsored sessions when funding is available.
News and opportunities from across the network, including relevant newsletters, publications, resources, events, and professional development opportunities.
