Training courses in
human-wildlife conflict and coexistence

We have developed a unique training programme designed to build holistic expertise in managing human-wildlife conflict and fostering coexistence. Designed by experts and grounded in the IUCN SSC Human-Wildlife Conflict & Coexistence Guidelines, this training covers key aspects of HWC management, including human and ecological dimensions, stakeholder engagement, effective interventions, planning, monitoring and evaluation. A selection of optional modules are also available for participants to tailor the experience to their specific needs and contexts. The programme is delivered by experts from the IUCN SSC Human-Wildlife Conflict & Coexistence Specialist Group, who bring both in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience on HWC management from around the world. Sessions are dynamic and interactive, blending theory with practical exercises, workshops, and peer-to-peer learning. By the end of the program, participants will be equipped with the skills, tools, and strategic guidance to apply what they’ve learned directly to their work, leaving them with a clear, actionable roadmap for implementation.
