Over 25 years of experience in carnivore ecology and conservation, with an emphasis on applied research, human-wildlife conflicts, and effectiveness of conservation interventions. Long-term experience of working in academia (including current Head of Lab of Vertebrate Zoology, Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology), universities (American University of Armenia, University of Goettingen), non-governmental organizations (WWF and others), and as an independent consultant. Apart from the HWCCSG, a member of the IUCN/SSC Cat Specialist Group and the Pallas's Cat Working Group. Co-chair of the Persian Leopard Working Group affiliated with the Cat Specialist Group. Author of 70+ scientific and popular publications.
