Chanpen Saralamba

Thailand

I graduated from the Department of Biology, Mahidol University, Thailand (both BSc & PhD). My main interests lie in tropical forest ecology and animal behavior. I have been involved with the research area at Khao Yai National Park since 1999. Then, I have been studying the behaviors of gibbons in relation to their food resources. I am interested in expanding my research in animal behavior to include future studies on the social dynamics and social development of young gibbons, vocal communication, and conservation of wild gibbons. As a lecturer in Conservation Biology, I am determined to develop our students and program, so our graduate students have more chances to find a job and a grant to study in a graduate program.
