Co-Lead, Latin America WG

Throughout my career, I have worked as a mediator building bridges: between ecological and social sciences, researchers and decision-makers, knowledge and action, and ultimately between people and nature, to improve both human and wildlife lives.
My work focuses on strategic planning, theory of change, systems thinking, decision-making, partnership building, and transdisciplinary collaboration. I combine qualitative and quantitative approaches in conservation social science, with a strong emphasis on monitoring, evaluation, and learning. I am the founder and principal consultant of Plan4Coex Workshops & Courses, a member of the Instituto Pró-Carnívoros, co-editor of Human-Wildlife Interactions: Turning Conflict into Coexistence (Cambridge University Press), and cofounder of Escola da Amazônia (Whitley Award).
