Dr. Beatrice Frank is a conservation social scientist whose work focuses on human–wildlife interactions, the transition from conflict to coexistence, and area-based conservation and stewardship. With nearly 30 years of experience, she works at the intersection of ecology and society, supporting communities in navigating complex relationships with wildlife and place in ways that are equitable, inclusive, and sustainable. Her approach emphasizes understanding human values, behavior, and governance systems as central to effective conservation outcomes.

She collaborates with Indigenous Nations, local communities, governments, and organizations to address challenges related to wildlife conflict, species recovery, shared landscapes, and the stewardship of protected and conserved areas. Through participatory processes, she helps co-develop solutions that reduce conflict, strengthen coexistence, and advance community-led conservation. Dr. Frank is committed to empowering communities through workshops, toolkits, and learning opportunities that foster dialogue, build capacity, and support inclusive decision-making. Her work advances community-led governance and practical strategies that support long-term coexistence between people, wildlife, and the landscapes they share.
