Laura Perry
UK

Laura’s work focusses on the Human Dimensions of wildlife, particularly the role of conservation behaviour change in helping communities to coexist with nature. She is interested in the use of mediative and conflict resolutions approaches to help diverse stakeholders to resolve wildlife-related issues, and the value that strategic planning and social science methodologies can bring to applied conservation.
Through her PhD, exploring how behaviour change can help livestock owners to coexist with carnivores, to her previous position as the IUCN SSC Behaviour Change Coordinator, Laura has worked with a range of partners around the world to design and implement applied, evidence-based conservation solutions. Now at Castlerock Conservation, Laura partners with organisations large and small to integrate social science techniques into their approach and strengthen their ability to secure conservation outcomes.
She is also a member of the IUCN Behaviour Change Task Force and the Sustainable Use and Livelihoods Specialist Group.
