I have been working with wildlife for over 30 years in diverse contexts. I am interested in understanding the complex facets of human-primate coexistence and passionate about the benefits of using ethnographic data to drive conservation project strategy. I am a founder and now honorary director of Barbary Macaque Awareness and Conservation, an inclusive conservation project based in Morocco. I am a deputy chair of the IUCN SSC Primate Specialist Group and the vice chair of the Group’s Section on Human-Primate Interactions (SHPI). This interdisciplinary group produces recommendations for primate conservationists on a range of issues affecting human-primate coexistence such as the management of human provisioning of primates.
