Policy Officer, IUCN SSC Human-Wildlife Conflict & Coexistence Specialist Group
Luna Milatović is the Policy Officer for the Specialist Group. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Belgrade and a Masters in Environmental Sciences and Policy from the Central European University. In addition to her formal education, she is also a Klaus Toepfer Fellowship Programme alumnus.
She has a keen interest in human-wildlife conflict and coexistence, protected area management and biodiversity policy and has previously worked in related roles at the UN FAO, the International Council for Game and Wildlife Management (CIC) and CEEweb for Biodiversity. Luna has worked on a number of different projects related to nature conservation, and will alongside her role at HWC SG be working on supporting the European Commission with the Natura 2000 biogeographical process.
