I have worked in government departments, NGOs and IGOs and universities for significant periods of time and have gained over 20 years experience in wildlife management and research, specialising in the ecology and management of carnivores, invasive species and human wildlife conflicts. I have worked on projects in the UK, The UK overseas territories, Japan and the Indian Ocean. I joined IUCN in 2014 to manage a new tiger conservation programme aimed at conserving significant tiger populations and their habitats.
I gained my degree and MSc from Imperial college in biology and wildlife management, and my PhD from Bristol University studying the management of the invasive small Indian mongoose.
